I ordered my Taygras about 3 months ago. I'm a die hard West Coast Swing dancer from Tucson, Az.
I have tried a variety of different dance shoes and have even resorted to putting moleskin on the bottom of sneakers, to get the "perfect" dance shoe. My sneakers were too heavy yet comfortable. The moleskin made them slick as hell, which I loved.
After seeing an ad for Fuegos and Taygras I decided to read reviews of both shoes. I chose Taygras as a result of great reviews and a budget friendly price!
I love my Taygras!!! At first they didn't seem fast enough, especially compared to moleskin. As I've danced on them more, the bottoms have seemed to wear down just enough to make them faster.
They provide enough traction as to not to lose my balance while spinning. I forget they're on because they are so comfortable!
All in all, I'm super happy to join the family of Taygra lovers!

My feet hurt for 4 years, bought 2 dozen "dance shoes, I am a male 6'1 225lbs size 12 wide .. danced my first WCS event and made breakfast club 2x, feet NEVER hurt.. I did substitute gel insoles and these are heaven to dance in .. every dancer I know is raving about these shoes just ordered 2 more pair!

I have a very narrow foot and was pleasantly surprised that I could lace them up for a great fit. Good give in the ball of the foot area to make dancing easy. I would buy again.

I love my Taygras. They are comfortable and they slide on the floor. You may need to add insole inserts, because they are a complete zero drop/barefoot shoe which many people are not used to. But they are fantastic shoes.

The shoes are nice, the upper is soft and pliable like a sock. It allows my wide feet to spread out.
The sole is nice. I am hoping that the material on the upper will last and my feet or toes start to poke through.

Purchased these for Bachata and Salsa dance class. Very happy with these shoes! They are excellent for wood floor as well as for outdoor use. It's very convenient that I can travel to class in these shoes so I don't need to bring an extra pair of shoes with me. They are lightweight and make turning very easy on the dance floor. Would recommend!

They are very light weight and flexible. I have danced on concrete and wood floors and they work wonderfully. For me they run a little bit large. I normally wear an 8.5 US. They are a little bit long, and would order an 8 next time. I receive many compliments from my dance friends about my dance shoes.

This style of Taygra is awesome because they are light, breathable and make a slight sound when you step so its obvious if you are on time. And other dancers often comment on their look, which is always dope.

Very comfortable, though the underside of the shoe is made of hard pvc, which make a clicking sound when you dance on a hard floor, as if you wear tapdance shoes. I use them for zumba class, which is more sport than dance class. A soft underside would have been better.
But very light and comfortable and i love the very simple and sober performance, and that the shoe is vegan, and made out of recycled plastic.
Too bad there is not so much choice as everything was sold out, i rather had bought green, or blue shoes, but i could only choose black.

Excellent customer service, fast shipping, comfortable shoes. Not slick enough for salsa/ constant spinning (the little squares on the bottom create some resistance) but great for Zouk kiz bachata, and just to wear as regular Everyday shoes. I’ve been wearing them everyday since I got them. Feels like socks- don’t buy if you’re looking for a lot of support- these are flexible and feels like you’re barefoot

Though I love the way dance sandals with heels look I always struggled with really “feeling” the floor - you know like when you dance in your socks! These shoes are as comfortable as slippers, light weight and really help me feel the floor. Spinning is a bit “stickier” than on suede bottom shoes but not at all a problem and actually create a more controlled feel in spins. Bottom line - worth the $$ and very comfortable. I wear a 7.5 street shoe and found sizing up a bit to be perfect.
